Our objectives add
meaning to our existence, being reflective
of the philosophy that guide us, Man-making
and Nation-building. GLF strives to promote
:
Promoting educational, cultural, economic,
social and vocational training programmes
for both industrial and rural workers and
their family members to enable them to
develop their total personality by improving
their physical, intellectual and vocational
capabilities.
Imparting education and training under
multiple heads that may include workers’
education, social education, trade union
education and technical, vocational and
occupational training for workers, wherever
and whenever necessary.
Promoting and conducting research / studies
and documentation in any subject, in any
sector – formal and / or informal -
beneficial for the workers, industry as well
as the country;
Supporting welfare programmes, schemes and
studies for women and other weaker and
neglected sections of the society;
Publishing study materials, literatures,
books, pamphlets, journals and the like; and
produce audio-visual materials in furthering
the objectives set by the Foundation :
Establishing and maintaining hostels,
libraries and reading rooms to enhance the
functioning of the Foundation.
In fulfilling its objectives, wherever
necessary or feasible, GLF is open for
establishing contacts, collaborating and
entering into arrangements at the local,
national international level, with
individuals and institutions with similar
concern and objectives. Preserving our
identity, we believe in being PARTNERS IN
PROGRESS.
